About me

I am married to Brian and live in a small village in Surrey.   I have two grown-up sons who live nearby, a  daughter in-law, and a step-son who lives in Sweden with his family.   I also have three beautiful granddaughters and one very cheeky grandson.

My interests are my family, growing and collecting pelargoniums, gardening, photography, cooking, reading, and singing in a choir.

Although I am retired now, my last job having been as a secretary at a nursing home for nearly 20 years, I am at present membership secretary of The Pelargonium & Geranium Society.   I am on the Committee of the Shamley Green Gardening Club.

Having had an interest in photography for several years, I joined the Cranleigh Camera Club recently. I am enjoying meeting other photography enthusiasts and learning from the more experienced members.

At the beginning of this year I joined the Wintershall choir - a small group of amateurs who meet weekly and sing for our own pleasure.    At the end of each term we perform the music we have been rehearsing to family members and guests.

If anyone would like information about joining either the Pelargonium and Geranium Society,  Shamley Green Gardening Club, Cranleigh Camera Club, or Wintershall Choir, please contact me:  gwenward@msn.com
